About the course
Robber's Row Course at Port Royal is a historic William Byrd design that was later refreshed by Pete Dye, bringing his signature strategic shaping and bunkering to an established north-island layout. The course offers coastal scenery, strategic hole designs, and the classic Lowcountry setting that Port Royal is known for. It is considered the more challenging of the two Port Royal courses.
Course highlights
- Original William Byrd design refreshed by Pete Dye
- Strategic bunkering and shaping from the Dye renovation
- Coastal scenery and Lowcountry character
- More challenging than the Barony Course
- Open to outside visitors at Port Royal
Planning tip
The Dye renovation added strategic complexity — expect more bunkering and tighter approaches than the Barony. A good challenge for stronger players.
